Tell us about yourself:
I have a degree in fine arts from University of Michigan and have worked as a graphic designer for 25 years. I have my own business and clients are primarily in the area of education, nonprofits, retail, healthcare. I have been a juror for the Ann Arbor Art Fair for 4 years.
How'd You Get Into Letterpress?
I grew up watching my dad set lead type and print ribbons, programs, cards, letterheads, envelopes. He had his own business and I helped with collating etc. I am sure this greatly influenced my career choice to be a graphic designer.
Tell us more about whatever you want...
I am looking for people to demonstrate or teach me how to do this for the Jackson County Fair. Aug. 9-15, 2009. Father passed away in February and most of the guys he knew are also gone. I'd like to find someone in the Jackson area if possible. It might just include dusting and oiling the presses for show only.
